Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Yeah I'm totally on fire right now...on the inside. I read this and it totally jump started my day this morning. This verse is just amazing. My grandpa tells it to me a lot when I talk to him, and it's like I hear it newly each time. It takes all pressure off of "doing things for Jesus" and "God will be happy if..." Accept the freedom that Christ has given, and let Him live through you instead of you living for Him. Life will be so much easier, and so much more joyful and glorious.
Lord live through me this day and this year like you have never done before. Fill my life with joy. Show me your glory. I love you.
1 Corinthians 15:54-58
54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
